Block Printed Zipped Pouch with Liz Walsh

Join Liz Walsh celebrated Irish textile Artist in a day of blockprinting and bag making. Using hand carved wooden blocks you will print a modern design onto Irish Linen. Once this is dry Liz will guide you through the steppes of turning it into a zipped bag.

All patterns, materials and tools will be provided for the students use during class.

We recommend you use your own sewing machine, but if this is not possible we do have machines for you to use, please select with class + machine option in the drop down menu.

Tea or coffee will be provided, we ask everyone to bring their own mug, with a lid if possible. There will be a 1 hr break for lunch.

Project: Block printed Irish linen zipped pouch.

• know how to get the correct consistency to print
• know how to get a clear print
• know how to register your print
• know how to use printed fabric to make a bag
• be able to insert a zip
• be able to line a pouch.
• be able to insert box corners.
