Needle Felt Workshop – 8th April

Needle felting is a versatile textile craft, from flat image to three dimensional sculptures a variety of work can be created. This workshop is aimed at the beginner student and will give a good introduction to the craft.

Our textiles tutor Sandra Reynolds has has 28yrs experience as an artist and teacher and will guide you through each step. Sandra received a City and Guilds qualification in Textiles and Embroidery and has been exhibiting and selling her work throughout Ireland. She can be found here on her instagram account.

The course will run over one morning,  tea and coffee will be provided. We ask students to bring their own keep cup.

A kit with a pattern, materials and tools will be provided for the students.

Project: Needle felt floral wall hanging

Duration:  5hrs

Dates: Saturday 8th April 11am – 5pm

Location: Crafty Studio 2a Prospect Ave Glasnevin. Free on street parking is available on Sundays on Prospect Square.

Below is a list of the learning outcomes of the course.

by the end of the class students will:

• know how cut out a pattern.
• be able to use a sewing machine to sew a pattern.
• be able to needle felt.
• know how to add embroidery and beading embelishment.
• know how to construct a 3D form from fabric.
