Sewing Taster – 13th December 1 – 4pm

A taster sewing for absolute beginners.I f you have always wanted to learn to sew but don’t know one end of a sewing machine form another then this is the class for you.  From threading a sewing machine to repairs and making you very 1st garment this course will give you all the basic skills you need to be confident in your own sewing.

Fabric will be supplied in the class after that we ask that you use fabric from Crafty Studio during class.

Many students have used the skills they gain with us to pursue courses in fashion, textiles and start their own small business.

No sewing machine? Do worry I can supply a machine for you to use during the class.*

Skills learned in class

• How to thread a sewing machine
• troubleshooting a sewingmachine
• alterations
• inserting a zip
• pattern adjustments
• choosing fabric
• buttonholes
• making a simple zipped bag

Classes are kept small so that you can get the benefit of one to one tuition.

There will be tea and coffee, so bring a mug with a lid for your cups and something to eat with you.
