Repairing Thread for Jeans – Light & Dark

How to use this repairing thread for Jeans and Denim clothing.

Using a sewing machine, with a zig zag stitch and the repairing thread in bobbin and top thread sew back and forth over the worn area until it is sufficiently covered. If there is a larger hole a patch may be added at the inside of the garment them stitched over.

The same technique can be done by hand using short straight stitches. Sewing back and forth until the area is filled.

A denim sewing needle such as our Schmetz Jeans needles are recommended as they can pierce the tightly woven denim easily. Size 90 is recommended for heavy fabrics while 75 is better for lighter but dense fabrics.

For darning jeans by hand or with a sewing machine.  Because of its two-colour appearance, the repairing thread for jeans is an ideal match for your  denim.
It is therefore suitable both for darning jeans and for decorative seams.

For overlock and safety seams. For fine ornamental stitches and decorative seams. Optimal colour adaptation to jeans material using bi-colour optics. Recommended needle and size Universal, size 80 – 100. 70% polyester, 30% cotton.
