Holbein watercolours create vivid, transparent washes and strong, clean darks when applied more thickly. As a European-style transparent watercolour, they also maintain the brush handling qualities typical of traditional Japanese watercolour techniques. Free from ox-gall or other dispersing agents, Holbein watercolours move slowly, allowing for greater colour density and brush control.
